Bull Creek Cemetery History:
Bull Creek Presbyterian Church was established in 1794. The first services were held outdoors until a church building was erected in 1801. The members were settlers in the wilderness of western Pennsylvania.

Burials for the small group of settlers were in the church yard. The oldest surviving gravestone is marked 1804. In 1955 Bull Creek Cemetery was incorporated separate from the church. The cemetery surrounds the old brick church building which is shuttered and no longer used as a church. A new church building sits across Bakerstown Road. Burials continue today in the new section of the cemetery.

Although Bull Creek Presbyterian Church's mailing address is Tarentum, it is located in a rural area which is called Culmerville, and is actually in West Deer Twp., Allegheny Co. It is NOT within the boundaries of Tarentum Borough.
